About Portugal 2030
Portugal 2030 implements the Partnership Agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, deploying 23 billion euros in European funds between 2021 and 2027. The framework is organised into 12 distinct programmes categorized by theme or region, including specialized funds for innovation and digital transition (COMPETE 2030), climate action (Sustentável 2030), and maritime affairs (Mar 2030). Regional programmes cover the North, Centre, Lisbon, Alentejo, Algarve, Azores, and Madeira. Funding is provided through five European funds, primarily targeting SMEs, public entities, and research institutions to stimulate economic development, decarbonisation, and social inclusion.
