Get your listing verified
European Tech Map lists 3,122 companies across 50 categories. Verification is the check that separates a listing we compiled from a company we have confirmed.
What we check
Verification is a review of the company behind the listing, not the product.
We confirm four things:
- Legal entity. That the company exists as a registered entity, under the name and registration number it trades under.
- European headquarters. That the operating headquarters is in Europe, matching what the listing states.
- European ownership. That ultimate beneficial ownership is European. A company acquired by a non-European parent no longer meets the criterion, and the listing is removed.
- Evidence links. That the DPA, privacy policy, security page and certification claims on the listing resolve to real published documents.
We re-check verified listings at least annually, and whenever a company tells us something material has changed.
What verification gives you
- The badge, where buyers filter. Buyers can filter the directory to verified listings only. Verification is what puts you in that set.
- Full profile control. Logo, long description, media, video, and the compliance section with evidence links, including European assurance schemes such as ISO 27701, BSI C5, SecNumCloud, ENS, TISAX and EUCS readiness.
- Your listing analytics. Impressions, profile views, clicks and shortlist adds, with weekly trends and how your click-through rate compares against your category median.
- The route to placement. Sponsorship and newsletter placements are only sold to verified companies. Verification is the prerequisite.

What verification does not mean
We confirm who claimed a listing: that the person applying represents the company, and that the company details on the listing match published evidence. We do not audit the product, test security controls, or certify compliance with any scheme, and this is not an ownership investigation.
European Tech Map is not a certification body. Where a listing shows ISO 27001, BSI C5 or SecNumCloud, that is the company’s own certification held with the relevant body, and we record it as a fact rather than assess it.
Paying for Verified does not move a listing up for its own sake. Organic order measures how much information a listing publishes, against one fixed set of 35 vendor-supplied fields, plus how recently that information was confirmed. Six of those 35 fields can only be edited on a paid plan, but only what you actually publish counts and there is no tier term in the order. Sponsored placements are pinned to the top of the results and labelled as sponsored, and below the pin payment has no effect on order. Where a page also carries a sponsored banner, the sponsor appears in the banner and is not repeated in the results below it. The full ranking parameters are published on our methodology page.
Common questions
Can we be rejected?
Yes. If ownership or headquarters do not meet the criteria, we do not verify the listing and we refund the payment.
We are UK or Swiss. Are we eligible?
Yes. The United Kingdom and Switzerland are in scope.
What happens if we are acquired?
Tell us. If the acquiring parent is non-European the listing no longer meets the listing criteria and will be removed.
How long does it take?
Most checks complete within a few working days. We will come back to you if we need a document.
